Just north of Jupiter, Tequesta has a small-town feel shaped by independent businesses, parks and nearby coastal scenery. The village is a great place to explore community activities, arts programming and locally organized gatherings.

For residents and visitors seeking something different from the busiest tourist areas, Captain Leonard’s guide highlights event types and locations to keep on your radar. Because schedules change, these are places and programs to investigate—not confirmed listings for specific upcoming dates.

Seasonal Highlights and Community Festivals

Art and Craft Events

Artisan gatherings in the Tequesta area can showcase paintings, glasswork, jewelry, woodwork and handmade gifts. Check village announcements and local event calendars for currently scheduled art and craft festivals, exact dates, locations and vendor information.

Why go: discover local makers and support independent artists.

Tequesta Brewing Company Events

Tequesta Brewing Company has been associated with the area’s craft-beer community and special gatherings, including music and brewery celebrations. Check its official channels for currently announced events and age requirements before visiting.

Why go: to experience a local gathering and discover the community behind a neighborhood business.

Recurring Community Activities

Food Trucks and Constitution Park

Constitution Park offers a welcoming setting for community recreation. Food-truck gatherings have been described in local event guides, but specific recurring schedules must be confirmed with the Village of Tequesta or event organizers.

The experience: when a food-truck event is officially scheduled, bring an appetite and check whether seating, lawn chairs or blankets are appropriate.

Outdoor Movie Nights

Outdoor films are a popular seasonal community-event concept in South Florida. Watch the village’s calendar for confirmed movie nights, titles, start times and weather policies rather than assuming a regular schedule.

Art, Culture and Creative Workshops

Lighthouse ArtCenter Exhibitions and Classes

Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery & School of Art is a notable resource for exhibitions, classes and workshops in Tequesta. Programming can include gallery shows and creative learning opportunities for different ages and interests.

Tip: browse the organization’s latest calendar for openings, reservations and class availability.
